Owner - Jacqueline (JJ) Austin
Teaching for 30+ years and riding horses for 45 years.

The first 8 years of her equestrian career she lived at and managed Deerfield Farm in Preston, WA with a great business partner. They competed locally on the “A” circuit in Hunt Seat Equitation, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunter Hack (jumping), Saddle Seat, Western Pleasure, Trail, Showmanship and Reining. At Deerfield she taught beginning, intermediate and advanced riding lessons along with training show horses, managing a Jr. team of upcoming riders, running overnight camps and hosting birthday parties.

After Deerfield she spent the next 18 years at the Mercer Island Saddle Club (MISC) in Washington offering English (Hunt Seat), starting Jumpers once proven on the flat, introductory through 1st level Dressage and Western riding lessons along with summer camps and a winter series Drill Team camp.

Throughout her years of teaching, she feels knowledge and developed skill are both very important aspects of riding. Equally important are commitment, communication, compassion, dedication, determination and discipline… a delicate balance so important to achieve true harmony with horse and rider. She believes these are all important life skills that can be applied to all our relationships, and this is what she is most proud of teaching!

She is thankful to have had a long-standing career that is truly a joy and passion for her. She also has had the privilege of working with the best school horses that were patient, tolerant, talented, and trustworthy who have impacted many children, adults and families combined.
Meet The Team
Tiffany Kaufman
Training and teaching for 26 years and riding for 40+ years.

Tiffany’s passions are trail riding with friends and camping with horses in challenging Touraine. She loves adventure. She loves to ride and train horses; she could ride for hours and needs to set a timer every time she gets on a horse, or she would just keep on riding.
Tiffany is well schooled in English and Western and has extensive knowledge of horse health and care needs.
Anneliese
Stricker
Anneliese began to ride shortly after her 8th birthday, after an incredible experience at a horse summer camp that past summer. She has become incredibly involved in the horse community since.
She purchased her beloved first horse Indigo at the age of 14 and has competed in hunt seat (jumping) show locally for the past 6 years. She is a well-versed equestrian, who believes in a foundation of both horse and rider safety, knowledge, an open mind, but most importantly, FUN!
